Video is not showing up on the board:
- Check and make sure your input selection for the Smartboard is on the correct computer input (HDMI 1)
- Check the connection to the projector and the laptop
- Set your screen display to Extended/Duplicate
- Press Windows button + P and select Extended/Duplicate.
- If that does not work then try the long method
- Right click on the desktop (not on an icon)
- Click display settings
- Scroll down to "Multiple displays"
- Select from the drop down Extended/Duplicate
Video is on board but the touch is not working:
- Check the USB cables to see if something is loose. This includes the laptop and the ports under the main speaker.
- Unplug the USB and plug it back in on BOTH ends.
- Restart the laptop
- Orient the board by Pressing the appropriate button combination or button. (Orienting Your Smartboard)
- Power down the projector. Once powered down turn off the power strip and back on.
- Reset the SMARTboard Controller: Press the little blue button for 10 seconds. Heres how.
- There is a little blue button on the SMARTboard Controller, with a paper clip or tweaker, hold in that button
for 10 seconds. This resets the Controller.
The location of the blue button is on the lower right rear of the SMARTboard but you can see it from the
side.

If that doesn’t work, here are the Pen Interactivity Reset functions. On your computer
Click on START --> SMART TECHNOLOGIES --> SMARTboard DRIVERS --> SMARTboard TOOLS. Just clicking on SMARTboatd TOOLS resets the Pen Interactivity.
Video Blown up at the bottom like it's not in the correct position:
- DO NOT MOVE THE PROJECTOR AROUND!
- All Smartboards are on HDMI 1 Input.
- Press the "1" button and then the "4" button. on the remote. This should fix the issue.
- If you do not have remote then press the source button once and let it "connect" or fail
- Now press Source until you see HDMI 1 and it should now be fixed.
