How to change Screen Lockout time

To help ensure the safety of your accounts, passwords, emails, and grade-books, the Tech. department sets your computers to lockout after 20 minutes of inactivity. Sometimes you need to have this setting set longer on your smart board so you can leave something up for the entire class period and not touch your laptop in between.

To do this follow these steps:

  1. Right Click on your desktop (not on an icon or the task bar)
  2. Click Persionalize
  3. In the left Column click Lock screen
  4. Scroll down to "Screen timeout settings" and click
  5. On the next screen you will find settings for the screen and sleep
  6. Change the screen settings to your desired time you wish.
  7. Once set just close this screen and it will auto-save these settings
